Roxanne Spillett who is the CEO of the boys and girls club of America. He gave a million dollars for her Charitable works in 2008. After this two years, there were no any other funds found in this couple years. So, This Boys and Girls Clubs of America have been forced to close down some of their clubs because of poor funding. The local clubs may be receiving poor funding, but that isn't because of a lack of cash flow.
Senators are looking into this outrageous paycheck to see if any illegal activities are taking place.
"The question is whether or not a very top-heavy organization might be siphoning off federal dollars that should be going to help kids," said Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa.
Senators have sent letters to the top members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, in an attempt to get detailed financial records.
There is a bill in place that would give the Boys and Girls Clubs of America 425 million dollars over the next five years. The bill will not move forward until these financial questions are answered.
